Hi friends,
Shall we proceed through the rest of the living room? I’ve been receiving so many questions about those (FAB) pink chairs that they just can’t be ignored any longer.
These two beauties are Roar + Rabbit and I found them at (where else) West Elm. Okay guys, West Elms has a lot of sales and a ton of stuff that I’m kind of obsessed with so I just can’t stay away. Anyway, There blush chairs stole my heart for a few reasons. 1. They’re blush! The love adding a feminine and romantic touch to every room. The blush softens up that black leather chesterfield sofa and they weren’t too “pink” for my husband. 2. They’re velvet! Ahhh, is anyone as happy about this new velvet trend as I am? Who can resist the softness, the hint of shine and the dreamy texture to deepen the decor in any room of your house. 3. They’re square! Sounds strange right? Something about the “squareness” of these chairs just made them more interesting. The linear angles of the brass (brass being yet another reason I love these chairs) made them so freaking fantastic to me that I pulled out my credit card and signed on the dotted line! Done! Find them here: Roar + Rabbit chairs
P.S. I need new pillows for these chairs. These are some that I had leftover from my last house. They look okay here, but tequnaclly they should match eachother. I’ll be on the hunt for new pillows. If you see any while you’re out shopping that you think I might like let me know!
This little table in-between the chairs was actually picked out by my husband (Go Charlie!) Also Roar + Rabbit from West Elm. At first I wasn’t sure about adding this geometric, kind of… rustic table to my modern/romantic living room. He really loved it so I gave in and we brought it home. I’m so so glad that we did because…well… doesn’t it look awesome?! It’s so unique and I don’t know if i’ve ever seen anything like it before. You can find it right here: Roar + Rabbit side table
The white lacquer side table offers clean lines and a bit of glam to this space. Adding a table like this is a good trick to fill an empty space in a room and a great opportunity to add accessorites. Find it here: White lacquer table These little cross based ottomans add some color and interest and they also serve as extra seating when we have a lot of people over. These exact stools are sold out (bummer) but you can find very similar stools here: Cross base ottomans
Finally, the styling of this table has been fun. It was my chance to add the pops of color that this room desperately needed. Have I told you that I LOVE shopping for books? Well, I do. I love them. For a coffee table or side table I look for books with beautiful covers and bindings. Of course I have to be interested in the content as well, but honestly that’s my second priority. (smirks) Barns & Noble is an obvious place to look, Amazon another but my favorite gem is Anthropologie. They always have super interesting and beautiful books scattered around their store. Pay attention or you just might miss em’. Piling several books (usually 3) and adding something to the top (like this vase of faux flowers that I found at Pottery Barn) will instantly make any table look more chic. A family picture helps make the space feel warm and this little baby vase adds some dimension.
Here is another stack of books that I have on a ledge in the front hallway ?? All of these books and the pineapple are from Anthropologie. Find them here: In the company of women book Here: Absolutely beautiful things book Here: The Coveteur book and that cute little pinapple candle is riiight here: Pineapple candle
This rabbit lamp is actually from Pottery Barn Kids. I bought it with the intention of putting in the kids room… but I set it on this table as I was putting it together and loved it right where is was (The poor kids still don’t have a lamp in their room) It adds a touch of whimsy – which I’m always in the mood for. This exact lamp is sold out but you can find a similar one here: Rabbit lamp
The rug is actually a carpet that is built into the home. It’s the only carpet we have in the whole house and is exxxxtra soft! Everyone loves it. I’m not sure on the brand but I can find out if anyone really wants to know.
Im so tickled with how great this room is coming along. It’s the first thing to greet me when I come home and it makes me smile every time. Thanks for reading! Hope you found this inspiring. I’ll be sure to post about updates as I make them so you’re not left behind.
Ciao,
Kelly
