Hi guys! Well for those of you that are left. Okay okay I took a little hiatus. Alright maybe a long hiatus but I’m back! Back baby! ***Que cheers from fans***
Ahhh, I feel refreshed, inspired and ready to conquer the blogging world. P.S. for anyone interested in starting a blog be warned, it’s a sh*t ton of work and takes a whole lot of persistance and patience for growth (says the girl who literally just took several months off) I do have fun though so…on to the good stuff!
I just got home from the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad California. You guys, if you’re looking for a stunning resort with a reasonable price tag then I’ve just found it for you. This place is gorgeous! Located 30 miles from downtown San Diego it’s super easy to get to (fliying or driving in from neighboring cities and states) Whether you’re going on a romantic get-away with your bae or on a family trip with your kiddos, this place is the bomb.
My husband jokingly called the resort “camp” because they offer so many activities (just like at summer camp) Were talking Tennis, golf, 8 different pools, spa, fitness classes…this list keeps going. I’ll break it down:
For the kiddos:
We took our four year old twins and they were in heaven (as were we) They offer ground floor rooms and suites which have patios and give you access to large grass yards. The rooms are nothing to write home about but they’re clean and have large bathrooms so that’s a plus. Definitely request a room on the ground floor. The kids called it “The back yard” and played riveting games of tag while the adults chilled on the patio – add a cocktail if you wish.
Kids 3 and up (and who are potty trained) can go to the kid’s camp Kid-topia. They have daily themes for the kids to keep them entertained while the adults hit the spa or adult pool.
The Pools for kids were awesome. One pool had a large sand area for the kids to build sand castles, there is a separate splash pad area, a little water slide that’s appropriate for toddlers and 2 larger slides for the bigger kids. The hotel also offers family golf, s’more making and movies by the pool in the evenings.
This resort is only 10 minuets away from Lego Land California which we of course took advantage of. Tip: If you’re headed to Lego Land, buy the Reserve-N-Ride line pass. It’s a game changer!
For the Adults:
SPA Ohhhhh the spa. It’s one of the top ten spas in the country! Read: This spa is legit! It’s gorgeous. Stunning in fact. It has all the obvious stuff like sweet locker rooms, steam sauna all that. The outdoor spa pool is dreamy as are the outdoor showers, reading areas and great service. Want lunch? No sweat, enjoy a relaxing meal at the spa cafe or order poolside. You guys, it’s worth it. Don’t skip the spa here.
GOLF We didn’t get a chance to play but both courses look amazing. We’d like to go back just to play golf and relax in the spa. We did spend some time at the driving range with the kids which was fun too.
TENNIS They offer adult programs, kids programs, tennis camps or you can play by the hour if you’re just looking to prove to your husband that you really are as good as he is (I really am)
They also offer an adults only pool, tons of fitness classes, and the Chopra Center which I didn’t get to enjoy this time but it’s on my hit list for the future.
Bistro 65 offers a buffet breakfast overlooking the golf course and kids under 5 eat free! FREE people! ***Throws confetti*** The views are to die for!
So, to keep this post from going overboard. Just visit the Website and check it out for yourself. We definitely plan on going back (with and without kids) Our final bill was pretty reasonable which makes it a good choice for a quick getaway without spending your life savings – score!
Did I leave anything out? Have questions? Leave me comments! Stay tuned because I’m reviewing The Four Seasons Oahu, Hawaii which is coming up next!
Peace and Thx for reading!
