Phew, we not only survived the holidays but had one of the best Christmas's/Hannukah's eva! Can't wait to post all of my holiday loot! Stay tuned on that. For now though, my kitchen is clean and I've decided it's time to bring you in. This kitchen... (breaths in the sweet smell of satisfaction) I really do love this kitchen. It's pretty, it's functional and it's completely open to the family room which means great flow with my kiddos. This island is massive (Hell yeah!) We cook, we eat, we stack all of our crap on here (you know you do it too). I drooled over these stools before finally biting the bullet. They're like jewelry for my kitchen. I love they way the light bounces off of them and they bring a mid-century modern touch that I'm loving. Get em here: Gold Barstools Can we ... [Read More]

Best of 2016 and goals for 2017
You guys, it's been the best year EVER! Honestly, I've really been reflecting these past few days and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 2016 was the best yet! Okay, so I never write down my goals (shame on me) I should definitely be writing down my goals right? Whats wrong with me? Everyone knows that! So I'm going to write down what I wish to accomplish in this next year. That way next NYE I can go back and look at my 2017 bucket list and see everything that I have accomplished. It'll require some serious thought (am I really going to post this on my very public blog?! Eeeek! Im not sure yet) Let's take a moment to look back on the best year of my life thus far while I ponder whether or not to write a diary post for the whole word to see. #Imcrazy So...2016...you little ... Decorating with florals
There's nothing I love more than finding a beautiful bouquet of flowers...but to be completely honest, I want them for cheap! (who doesn't right?) Let's face it, flowers don't last forever and the really nice looking bouquets can be quite pricy. But the way they brighten up and room and the way they make me feel makes them hard to resist. There are a few great places to shop for flowers that wont break the bank. My very favorite stop is Trader Joes. Most arrangements are $10-$15 and they're really good quality. You can also look at whole foods or any other local supermarket. When selecting flowers I usually will go with one type of flower. I think it looks nicer to have a bunch of roses, or peonies (My very favorite but they're only around in the spring. I swear my entire ... [Read More]

Sweater Weather (and Nordstrom 10 points!)
Hi friends, It's sweater weather here in Las Vegas. Nice right? 55ish degrees is okay with me! I actually look forward to this all year. The real bonus is that it's 10 points time at Nordstrom! ***Throws confetti*** TEN POINTS you guys! That means that for every dollar you spend on your Nordstrom card you'll get 10 points! After you gather all of those yummy points you'll get your Nordstrom notes which are basically gift cards that you can spend on yourself (naturally). I quite literally did all of my holiday shopping at Nordstrom on my 10 points day. If I'm being honest I shopped mostly for myself. My present mantra usually goes something like this... one for them, two for me. Sigh... It might be a problem. Anyway, at least I loaded up on points so I feel a little less guilty. So part ... Holiday Picture Style Guide
Well hey there guys! I'm so freaking excited about how great our family photos turned out this year. I mean come on... for two three year olds to corporate, stay relatively clean and happy throughout this photo shoot was nothing short of a miracle. We take these pictures every year and it doesn't always go so swimmingly... So I'll call this my first present of the holiday season! So lets chat outfits. I usually go for a neutral theme. Something about black, white and grey really turns me on (not in that way guys!) I like the sleekness of it and I'm not a fan of matchy matchy, everyone wearing red and green type of photos. I dress my kids as I would dress myself. I like them in cool, stylish clothes. Who says that because they're kids they have to dress in clothes with Thomas the Train ... [Read More]
